Vintage Radio Flyer Birthday
And this is what I came up with for the goodies:
The Cake and Cupcakes Mini Banana Cake with a Vanilla Cream Cheese Filling, iced in Vanilla Buttercream with Marshmallow Fondant details. Alternating Vanilla Bean and Chocolate Cupcakes matched the cake, which all sat on a Custom Cupcakes Stand.
Cookie Pops Sugar Cookie Pops iced with Vanilla Buttercream and detailed in Marshmallow Fondant. More information HERE.
Marshmallow Pops
These were given as apart of the favor bags- dipped in White Chocolate and Red Sugar Crystals. More information HERE.
Being this was my very first wagon themed party, I must say I had a blast creating these treats! The theme was original and the colors unique...what more could a designer ask for? Thank you so much Pritchard Family for (again!) inviting me to be apart of your wonderful day!

Custom Cupcake Stands
Cupcakes are becoming more and more popular...and as the trend rises, so does the clients' expectation.
Gourmet flavors and upscale decoration are not all what people crave anymore! Customization of every product is now a requirement- which I just LOVE!
Sweet Street offers an array of treats, such as cupcakes, bite size cupcakes, cake truffles, truffle pops, cookies and even cookie pops, that can all be decorated around any theme. But, want to go a step further?

Ladybug and Dasiy Cupcakes
To surprise her, she thought it would be fun to have cupcakes decorated in some of her friend's favorite things, Ladybugs and White Daisies! I loved the idea and here is what I came up with:
Thanks so much! The cupcakes looked too good to eat, but they tasted delicious!

The Cupcake Bar
My turn came up to host Bunco at my house and after some thought (well, really hardly any at all...) I just knew I had to do it cupcake style! And what better way to incorporate such a fun theme than with a Cupcake Bar!
And, in not time at all, they were hot out of the oven!
While we played our first two rounds, our mini cakes cooled. By the time the last roll was rolled, they were ready to be iced...each girl got to top her cake with my homemade cream cheese frosting and the confections of her choice!
Thanks girls for letting me try this idea out on you guys! I had a blast!

Special's Board
I know I have been a little out of touch lately...so, I wanted to catch you all up on what I've been up to!
Not too much baking...
But, plenty of other things!! What's been taking up most of my time and keeping me out of the kitchen is the renovation on my home. My husband and I are soooo close to finishing and since I had a few slow days this week, I've been working, working, working to tie up all our loose ends. (Which means a lot of painting, hammering and cleaning!)
While cleaning out a closet, I found two old cabinet doors and after diving into blogland, I came up with two awesome ideas!! One of which, you all will be interested in:
A chalkboard Menu Board!!
This was so simple...it literally only took me about an hour and half to completely finish! I took my old cabinet door, taped off the edges and filled in the center with chalkboard paint I bought from a local craft store. (Just to warn you, the paint is super thick and a little hard to apply...but completely worth it!) The directions said to wait an hour to apply the second coat...after that coat was on and drying, I hot glued some cutesy paper flowers I found in the scrap booking section. I had to wait at least 24 hours to use my chalk- which was excruciating- but, in the end I think it turned out fantastic!
I absolutely love how it adds a shabby-chic aspect to my modern kitchen! And, better yet, it was super simple and super economical!

After a couple of small world instances, Mrs. Emily was given my name by a local wedding vendor and was told I was the "Cupcake Lady." I met with her, her fiance and their fabulous wedding consultant from Sweetgrass Social for a Cake Tasting (in this case, a cupcake tasting)...and we came up with a plan!
She opted for a super simple three tiered Charleston Style Pound cake covered in vanilla buttercream with a sage green ribbon border. We also decided to separate the tiers so these beautiful orchids (provided by Flowers by Starks ) could be placed in between. Absolutely gorgeous!
But, that's not all... Emily also had a cupcake vision for her big day! She wanted my Gourmet Cupcakes lining the dance hall...and even had the wait staff mingling amongst the guests with platters full of them to hand out! These are the 6 flavors chosen by the couple:
Chocolate Covered Strawberry
Chocolate Peanut Butter
Red Velvet
Italian Cream
White Chocolate Raspberry
Lemon Cream Pie
And this is them, ready for the party:
Out of the years of creating hundreds of cakes, the Stonerock Wedding was one of my favorite projects by far! I wanted nothing more than the weekend to be perfect for my couple...and, I'd have to say the cake and cupcakes were pretty close!

Chuck's Favorite Things
And it all started with with this cake:
Reese's and Diet Mountain Dew Groom's Cake
This was my moist chocolate cake topped with vanilla buttercream and bordered with mini white chocolate Reese's cups. I handmade the Reese's package and Diet Mountain Dew can out of rice crispy treats and marshmallow fondant. Green and orange rock candy gave a little sparkle to the cake and was topped with a bride and groom peanut butter cup.
I had such a good time creating this cake...it turned out great and the couple and their guests enjoyed it at their backyard rehearsal dinner!
