Sea Inspired Wedding

The absolute most adorable couple
met at the chapel this afternoon
and vowed to love each other forever...

and I was invited
to be apart of their
awesome celebrations!

The Cake

Fresh banana cake decorated in blue ombre buttercream, white buttercream coral, edible "sand" and white chocolate sea shells. My favorite accent to the cake are those adorable little "kissing" goldfish.

The Cupcakes
{Esty Shop where I bought cupcake wrappers}
Unbirthday Cake - Confetti cake topped with sour cream chocolate frosting and more sweet sprinkles!

Lemon Cream Pie - Vanilla bean cake filled with zesty lemon curd and topped with vanilla cream cheese frosting and lemon infused sugar.

Banana Pudding - Fresh banana cake topped with vanilla cream cheese frosting, toasted pecans and a caramel drizzle.
Savannah Belle - Southern red velvet cake topped with vanilla cream cheese frosting, a white chocolate sea shell and edible "sand."

The Favors

Sugar cookies adorned with two fondant goldfish {in love, of course} and white chocolate "bubbles." I finished them with a little disco dust for sparkle!

Ree and Lance were
some of the sweetest clients
and deserve nothing but the best!

I truely hope they enjoyed the cake
as much as I enjoyed creating it for them!
Super cute theme, huh!?

Going To The Chapel...

Happy Sunday!
I turn 26 today!
Yay! Looking forward
to relaxing with family today!

But, first I wanted to show you
what I was up to over the weekend!
An amazing couple tied the knot
and invited me to be apart of their gorgeous day!

This antique inspired,
two toned 6 tier cake
was the perfect addition
to their romantic wedding!

Each tier featured a unique flavor, including Lemon Blueberry, Mocha, Red Velvet, Toasted Almond and Marble. The entire cake was covered in my Vanilla Buttercream, tinted a beautiful Champagne hue. The decorations were hand piped buttercream in white. A miniature cake was also prepared for the Mother-of-the-Bride ... she has a gluten and corn allergy, so a gluten/corn free lemon cake was created just for her!

This little cake
is being filed under
my Top Favs, for sure!!
LOVE how this one turned out!

The colors were spot on,
the theme was soft and
just plain pretty,
and the flavors were crowd pleasing!

A BIG
Thank You
to my awesome couple!!
I loved working with you guys!

{I left before the florists had time to cover the bottom Styrofoam in flowers - can't wait to see how the professional pictures turn out!}

Congrats to you both!

Vegas Themed Wedding

What do you get
when you mix
playing cards, Jack Daniels
and DIAMONDS?

Glitz and Glam
meets Vegas
themed party!

And that's just what
my super fun couple
were going for when
planning their wedding!

Here is a shot of the reception center pieces:

Those elements were
the inspiration pieces I used
when creating their
wedding cupcake tower!

The flavors included
Vanilla Bean, Dark Chocolate
and Marble, each topped with
Marshmallow Fondant.

Edible Diamonds
Bright Pink
Glitter and Swirls ...
does it get any better than that?!

Congrats to
Donelle and Josh!
I loved being apart of your
awesome day! Thanks for including me!

Catherine's Wedding Cupcake Tower

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of working with a fabulous couple to create their unique Wedding Cupcake Tower. I was super bummed when I realized I had forgotten my camera and wasn't able to document my work.

I patiently waited for the posting of thier professional pictures ...

And I found them today via Facebook!

Cupcake Tower:
With the beach as their ceremony location, coral hues as accent colors and one amazing wedding gown {featuring bold flower adornments} there was not a lacking in the inspiration department for this reception! I combined those 3 elements to create one stunning tower for the bride and groom!

Cupcakes:
The tower featured 6 flavor combinations including White Chocolate Raspberry and Chocolate Hazelnut. Each cupcake was either topped with an edible sea shell or ivory rose. Coral fondant flowers accented the stand for a pop of color.

Topper Cake
Simple ivory buttercream with a large coral fondant flower. The bride and groom topper was provided by the couple.

Beautiful newlyweds cutting the cake:

 Congratulations again, Catherine and Brandon!

Heather's Wedding Day

Another
Wedding
Weekend
Finished!

This particular weekend, however, was a bit more special for me than others. It was the wedding of one of my very best childhood friends! She and I met through our church nursery - she was my first friend and although we never attended the same school, we continued to be close for many years. We share tons of fun memories together and I was beyond honored when she asked me to be apart of her big day!

This is alternating Chocolate Fudge Cake and Charleston Style Pound covered in Ivory Vanilla Buttercream.

The design chosen was a close multi-scroll done in the same Ivory Buttercream.

Look at this sweet picture of her parents cutting the cake at their wedding:

Congratulations
to you both!
Thank you for inviting me in on your special day!

Elegant Seashell Cupcake Tower

A super sweet couple were married Saturday ... and I enjoyed being apart of their celebrations!

After their beach ceremony, the guests were escorted into the Ocean Reef Resort - off 71st Ave in Myrtle - where the beautiful ballroom awaited...

The couple decided on a simple, but elegant look for their Cupcake Tower. The flavors included Vanilla Bean and Dark Chocolate Fudge. All cupcakes were frosted in Vanilla Buttercream and topped with edible "sand" and a White Chocolate or Dark Chocolate Sea Shell.

The topper cake was Marble in flavor and also frosted in Vanilla Buttercream. The textured buttercream design can be found all throughout bridal magazines at the moment - very chic, very elegant. To finish off the cake, edible "sand" was added for a little sparkle and a bride and groom chocolate starfish accented the tiers.

When I returned to help clean up and break down my area, I was able to talk with the newly weds. {Which is a rare treat!} They were absolutely delighted with the results!

Congratulations to the Poston's!! I wish your family all the best in the world! Thank you so much for inviting me in on your special celebrations!
